The Cars in Michael Jackson's Memorial Procession

July 8, 2009, Los Angeles, California -- It was a memorial service befitting royalty, as friends and family mourned the passing of MICHAEL JACKSON, the King of Pop, while celebrating his life and achievements. And appropriately, the funeral cortege was also befitting of royalty. The Jackson family was in a procession comprised of matching ROLLS-ROYCE PHANTOMS and LAND ROVER RANGE ROVERS, all in the somber hue of black. The gilded coffin itself was ferried in a hearse crafted from a modified LINCOLN TOWN CAR, strangely pedestrian for someone of such flagrant tastes. It was an odd sight seeing the procession make its way across deserted Los Angeles freeways, but we suppose that everything about the past two weeks was odd, weird, sad, extraordinary, and unforgettable. - Liz Kim
