Being Green With Electric Cars

 April 23, 2009 -- Electric cars are still an unknown quantity in America. Many of those on the market right now aren't highway worthy or even crash test-rated, with 25 mph maximum speeds and eight-hour charging times. Luckily for us, the TESLA ROADSTER is changing all that. It's the first electric sports car to hit America, and it's a doozy. 0-60 mph in just 3.9 seconds and a 14,000 rpm redline make this one smoking hot, eco-friendly convertible. MATT DAMON and WILL.I.AM from the Black Eyed Peas both have one. So does DUSTIN HOFFMAN, who's been seen cruising around Santa Monica in the Roadster. Of course, its $100k price tag makes it pretty unattainable for everyone sans the rich and famous, but that doesn't stop us from dreaming.
