Super Bowl XLIII Ads: Audi A6

 

It was a mini movie onto itself. Our favorite ad of the night was for the AUDI A6, starring an ogre-mugged Jason Statham. The concept is a car chase throughout the decades, with our hero in various luxury sedans with their drivers corresponding fashion - starting with a Mercedes in the 70s, a BMW in the 80s and - ugh, with an exasperated sigh, a Lexus in the 90s, being chased by bad guys in American automobiles. Cut to the present; Statham, looking elegant and suave, steals the keys to the Audi A6 sedan, available in regularly aspirated and supercharged flavors, and outfoxes his pursuers on their speed bikes. It had action. It had suspense. It had comedy. Great job. - Liz Kim
